Defending league champions South Georgia Tormenta FC announced their end of season roster decisions on Wednesday. In addition to four already under contract for 2023 (Midfielders Tobias Otieno, Gabriel Cabral, Kingsford Adjei and forward Kazaiah Sterling), the club exercised options on:
- Goalkeeper Pablo Jara
- Defender Deshawon Nembhard
- Defender Jake Dengler
- Midfielder Christopher Heckenberg
- Forward Arthur Bosua
Those not returning include defender Joshua Phelps, who transferred to Melbourne Knights FC of the NPLV in Australia. In addition, the club declined options on Fuad Adeniyi, Jamil Roberts and Mutaya Mwape.
An additional 13 players from the 2022 roster remain out of contract, with no decision made at this time. The club says they remain in discussion with “many” of these players.
