Chattanooga Red Wolves SC announced the signing of new head coach Ziggy Korytoski on Wednesday.
Korytoski will be the third full-time head coach in club history, replacing interim coach Jimmy Weekley, who led the club since July after previous head coach Jimmy Obleda was suspended for misconduct allegations. Obleda and the club officially terminated their relationship on November 8th.
While Weekley led the club to the playoffs and an eventual finals loss to Tormenta FC, he was never intended to remain in the post on a permanent basis.
Korytoski brings two decades of experience, having coached Guatemalan top flight clubs Antigua GFC and Deportivo Coattepeque, as well as duties as head coach of the Northern Mariana Islands men’s and women’s national teams. Domestically, Korytoski served as assistant coach at Cal Poly, San Diego State and Harvard, and most recently as head coach of Albion San Diego in NISA.
