Defending USL League One champions Tormenta FC re-signed head coach Ian Cameron to a five year deal.

The club announced the deal on Wednesday as a “multi-year contract extension.” Savannah ABC affiliate WJCL 22 confirmed that the deal is for five years.

The Scotland native came over with the club from USL League Two, where he served as head coach for Tormenta FC 2 from 2018 to 2020 and assistant coach for Tormenta FC from 2019-2020. He was promoted to Tormenta FC head coach on September 16, 2020 in a shakeup that saw former head coach John Miglarese move to Technical Director and VP of Soccer Performance.

In 89 games as head coach of Tormenta FC, Cameron has led the club to 41 wins, and their first playoff appearance in 2022 which resulted in winning the league championship.

Prior to the signing, Cameron had been the subject of unconfirmed rumors linking him to USL Championship side El Paso Locomotive.
