League One Updater is an independent publication covering USL League One. Founded in 2022 on Wordpress, and re-launched in 2026 on Ghost, we provide written content and photographs on USL League One with a focus on highlighting player stories.

Staff

Alex Ashton founded League One Updater in 2022 with a goal of bringing more independent written content about USL League One. Based in Richmond, look for him on the sidelines taking photos of both teams at Kickers matches. He also writes and takes photos for RiverCity93, has been featured in Protagonist Soccer, and previously contributed to Beyond the 90 and Southeast Soccer Report. You can also catch Alex most Tuesday nights on The USL Show.
