History

Union Omaha crashed into the USL League One scene as an expansion club in 2020. They finished second in their debut season, in which the playoffs were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, they returned with a vengeance, clinching the regular season title and going on to defeat defending champions Greenville Triumph in the playoff finals.

The Owls also made a shocking run into the 2022 US Open Cup, defeating MLS sides Chicago Fire and Minnesota United to advance to the quarterfinals. The club was unable to repeat their playoff success however, falling to Chattanooga Red Wolves SC in the first round.

The club plays home matches at Werner Park outside of Omaha, and has maintained one of the top average attendances in the league.
