Charlotte Independence play their home matches at Mecklenburg County owned American Legion Memorial Stadium. The stadium opened in 1936 and has seen numerous tenants and events over the years. Currently, Charlotte Independence are the primary tenant/partner, but share the space with other events, such as high school football games, Pop Warner football, NCAA soccer tournaments, community events and the occasional concert. In anticipation of Charlotte Independence’s inaugural 2021 season, the stadium underwent a massive renovation between 2019 and 2021 to convert it into a soccer specific stadium.
