With six weeks until their first home match, Lexington SC announced Georgetown College’s Toyota Stadium as their home for the 2023 season.
Previously the club had been linked to the University of Kentucky’s Bell Soccer Complex in Lexington. Georgetown College is located in the city of Georgetown, about 15 miles from downtown Lexington.
The stadium has a capacity of 5,000 and is home to the college’s football, soccer, and lacrosse teams. As part of the lease, Lexington SC will fund several upgrades to the facility, including new artificial turf.
Lexington SC will also announce season ticket information later today, starting with current deposit holders.
The club will eventually play in its own soccer-specific stadium, recently approved for the Athens Boonesboro Rd area, southeast of downtown Lexington.
