For the second time this year, a USL League One team announced a kit collaboration with its primary supporters group. On Tuesday, Forward Madison announced its 2024 away kit, designed by the team’s independent supporters group, The Flock.

2024’s kit is called “The Rhythm of the Lakes,” a white uniform with five pink and blue gradient lines on the front. Each line represents one of the five lakes of Madison, while the cuffs and collars detail the drumbeats of supporter chant “We Are Madison.”

It’s not the first time Madison has collaborated with The Flock. The 2024 kit represents the fifth consecutive year of working together, with $5 from every kit sold going to the Flock Soccer Foundation. The foundation partners with three local clubs which “provide opportunities to under-served communities and have programs that help make soccer more affordable,” including one giving opportunity to power wheelchair athletes.

“Supporters collaborating with their club on a uniform is unique in itself, but a portion of sales going
directly to local youth soccer initiatives makes this tradition something altogether different and special,”
said Flock member and kit collaborator, Andrew Schmidt via the team’s press release.

“When our team suits up away from home, they’re playing for Madison and the pride of the fans, sure—but more importantly they’re playing for the future of the game here.”

The kit is currently available via preorder and will make its debut on Saturday, as Madison travels to face South Georgia Tormenta FC. This will be Madison’s first regular season match of the season, and Tormenta’s second, after a 2-1 loss to Fuego FC this past Saturday.

Last week we learned about the release of Greenville Triumph’s supporters group design collaboration, the Reedy River Riot pre-match kit.
