USL League One announced today that Lane United FC has acquired exclusive rights to pursue professional USL franchises. The club’s goal is to go professional with the men’s USL League One and women’s USL Super League.

The men’s side currently competes in USL League Two and plays home matches at Civic Park in Eugene. The park is undergoing phase two of construction that will see a 2,500+ capacity stadium, food court, broadcast booth and digital scoreboard.

Lane United FC will join potential USL League One clubs under rights development in Portland, ME and Wilmington, NC in pursuit of full accreditation and addition to the league.

USL League One will expand with two new clubs in 2023, One Knoxville and Lexington SC; and two more in 2024, Spokane and Santa Barbara Sky FC. At the end of the 2022 season, FC Tucson self-relegated to USL League Two.
