Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC announced their end of season roster decisions on Tuesday, and then added some updates on Wednesday. The club opted to decline contract options on five players:
- Forward Lachlan McLean
- Goalkeeper Thomas Olsen
- Midfielder Jerry Desdunes
- Midfielder Daniel Scally
- Defender Denso Ulysse
In addition, midfielder Shane McFaul announced his retirement from professional soccer just before the end of the season.
Lachlan McLean, an Australian national, had 4 goals and 3 assists in 26 appearances. Thomas Olsen had 13 appearances, splitting keeper duties with Johan Penaranda. Jerry Desdunes had 20 starts in 25 appearances.
On Wednesday, the club announced forward and leading goal-scorer Irvin Parra signed a new two-year contract to remain with the club through 2024. They also announced exercising the options on defender Rob Cornwall and midfielder Destan Norman. The club remains in talks with those not yet optioned or declined.
Hailstorm FC narrowly missed playoff qualification, falling one short in the win column to 6th seeded Charlotte Independence. The club had been set to move into their new home at TicketSmarter Stadium in 2023, but arrangements and ticketing information have yet to be announced.
